The Foreign Policy Association (FPA) welcomes all sreaders to the Global Food Crisis blog!  This blog was launched in conjunction with the FPA’s Town Hall meeting on food security that took place at The Chapin School in New York City on Saturday, April 4, 2009.

As the world’s population grows and the demand for food and alternative fuels increases, global food supply is suffering.  The soaring food prices of the last few years have left millions of people hungry and undernourished around the world.

This blog is designed to provide readers with online resources for understanding the background and ongoing developments of this timely and pressing issue through postings of video and current events articles.  Feedback and suggestions are encouraged!
